MANAGING DIRECTOR: JETHRO CARR

Amberdms is owned and operated by Jethro Carr. Jethro has many years of experience in the IT industry, particularly with software development, open source software, Linux and providing support services to small and medium businesses.

Jethro is a Red Hat Certified Engineer and also has achieved the Red Hat Clustering and Storage Management Endorsement (RH436), as well as the Red Hat Centralised Authentication Endorsement (RH432).

Aside from business manager duties at Amberdms, Jethro is a full time PHP developer focusing on backend web-based applications as well as the resident Linux expert and is often found online late at night putting finishing touches to Amberdms software products.

When he's not working or helping out in the Amberdms community mailing lists, Jethro writes about technology and develops open source software available on his personal website.

SOFTWARE DEVELOPER: REBECCA "BEX" RAY

Rebecca (Bex) brings web development and usability experience - as well as an American accent - to the Amberdms team. A 2009 graduate of Victoria University, Bex has been working in the IT industry for a number of years in a wide range of roles.

Bex is highly involved in Wellington's IT community: she is Unlimited Potential's Ex-Pat Officer, a member of NZCS, and a volunteer for both the One Laptop Per Child program and the Wellington IT Volunteers. She also volunteers at the Wellington Zoo.

At other times, you can find Bex dancing, swimming, cooking, or curled up with a cat and a good book.

SOFTWARE DEVELOPER: THOMAS "TOM" HOWARD

Thomas "Tom" Howard adds strong e-commerce development skillset to the Amberdms team thanks to his years of experience with his previous role as a developer working on the very popular Wordpress e-commerce plugin.

At Amberdms Tom is one of the developers of Amberdms Billing System with particular focus on integration and e-commerce deployments, as well as working on other software development projects for customers.

In his free time, Tom spends far too much time on Wikipedia, cooks interesting foods (often of his own creation) and continues on his quest to learn as much as possible about chemistry and physics.
