On the morning of September 29th, the signing ceremony ofHuizhou Innovation Port Project of Jiangsu University was performed in the multifunctional hall on the second floor of Huizhou Island Hotel. Li Junling, Vice Mayor, Wu Xianmin, Party Secretary, Yan Xiaohong, President of Jiangsu University, as well as other leading guests attended the ceremony, and signed the Framework Agreement on Strategic Cooperation of Jiangsu University of the People's Government of Huizhou City and the Agreement on the Establishment of "Huizhou Innovation Port of Jiangsu University" by the Management Committee of HZZK Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone and Jiangsu University in Conjunction.

He stated that the Huizhou Innovation Port Project of Jiangsu University is the practical action of HZZK Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zonein carrying forward the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important exposition on scientific and technological innovation and the arrangement of provincial and municipal scientific and technological innovation work, and it is also the concrete manifestation of our region's continuous improvement of scientific and technological innovation capability in order to fulfill the goal of high-level self-reliance. The signing and substantial progress of the project is of vital significance to the training and introduction of high-level talents, the setup of R&D institutions and the transformation of scientific and technological achievements, and will strengthen the momentum for the high-quality development of HZZK Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone and even Huizhou.

　　Wu Xianminmentioned that HZZK Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone will resolutely implement the decision-making arrangements of the municipal party committee and the municipal government, and render supporting services of construction land and infrastructure for the Innovation Port project by sticking to first-class standards and first-class efficiency, in a bid to guarantee the smooth completion and operation of the project at all stages and throughout the process of its signing and implementation, commencement and construction and formal operation, and become a demonstration window for the integrated industry-university-research development of Jiangsu University in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, thus making positive contributions to the construction of a national first-class high-tech zone in Zhongkai and a domestic first-class city in Huizhou.

　　As is known to all, Jiangsu University is one of the top 100 comprehensive research universities in China and provided with unique superiority in scientific research, training of high-end talents, social services as well as other aspects. With a view to share resources, draw on each other’s strengths, form win-win cooperation and realize common development, our city intends to form a strategic cooperative relationship with Jiangsu University and jointly build "Huizhou Innovation Port Project of Jiangsu University", in a bid to enhance cooperation between the two sides in introduction of high-end talents, transformation of scientific and technological achievements, economic development, medical and health services and the like, and create a sample project for government-school cooperation. To be seated in HZZK Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone, the project covers an area of around 300 mu and is chiefly classified into two functional areas, namely, joint training base for postgraduates and the government-school-enterprise innovation consortium.
