In order to enhance the openness level of the China Korea (Huizhou) Industrial Park, promote the introduction and settlement of high-quality foreign investment projects, and further strengthen economic and trade cooperation with Japan and South Korea, and improve the level of our district's opening up to the outside world, Fang Xiaolong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Working Committee and Deputy Director of the Management Committee of Zhongkai High tech Zone, led an economic and trade delegation to Japan and South Korea for a 7-day economic and trade exchange activity from October 19th to 25th. This exchange focuses on cutting-edge fields such as semiconductors, new energy, biological health, and electronic information. Through various forms such as on-site inspections, exhibition participation, investment promotion, and business association exchanges, it deepens technological cooperation and industrial docking with Japanese and Korean enterprises, injecting new momentum into the construction of the China Korea (Huizhou) industrial park.
During their stay in Japan, the delegation focused on inspecting institutions such as Nagoya Research Institute and AGC Corporation. The Nagoya Advanced Technology Linkage Research Center focuses on the research and industrialization of emerging industries such as gallium nitride (GaN) materials and solid-state batteries. Zhongkai High tech Zone is making every effort to build a complete semiconductor industry chain. The technological innovation practices and experiences of Nagoya Advanced Technology Linkage Research Center will provide important references for the ecological construction of the semiconductor industry in Huizhou.
During the visit to global glass giant AGC Corporation, the delegation gained a deep understanding of its various new technologies and products. The company has built four LCD glass substrate production lines with a total investment of over 7.3 billion yuan, and the output value will reach 1.678 billion yuan in 2024. AGC's leading technology in the high-end glass field will form strong synergy with the electronic information industry in Huizhou, helping Zhongkai High tech Zone build a closed-loop industrial chain of "glass substrate display panel intelligent terminal".
During their inspection in South Korea, the delegation participated in the 2025 Seoul Consumer Electronics Show (KES) and the 2025 Seongnam Biohealth International Conference, and successfully held an investment briefing for the China Korea (Huizhou) Industrial Park in Seoul. It is reported that the Seoul Consumer Electronics Show (KES) brings together 550 exhibitors from around the world, focusing on cutting-edge fields such as AIOT, smart homes, and new energy vehicles. KES is an important window for insight into emerging industry trends in South Korea, and the Zhongkai High tech Zone will take this opportunity to promote cooperation between local and South Korean enterprises in areas such as AI semiconductors and robotics.
At the investment briefing of the China South Korea (Huizhou) Industrial Park, Fang Xiaolong emphasized in his promotion that as a national level cooperation platform, the park has gathered a number of benchmark projects with Korean investment such as LG, SKI, and Gome. In the future, it will further optimize the business environment and attract more Korean enterprises to settle down. At the meeting, Zhongkai High tech Zone signed an investment agreement with Gaomeike Co., Ltd. The latter plans to invest 150 million yuan to build a semiconductor precision component production base, with an annual output value of up to 300 million yuan after reaching production capacity.
The delegation also inspected enterprises and business associations such as Gaomeike Group and Chengnan Industrial Revitalization Institute. It is reported that Gaomei is a globally leading semiconductor component cleaning and recycling coating company, with a revenue of approximately 2.9 billion yuan in 2024. As a leader in semiconductor cleaning and coating technology, Gaomei Ke will expand its market layout in southern China based on the location advantage of Zhongkai High tech. Fang Xiaolong expressed in the communication that Zhongkai High tech Zone will fully serve Gaomeike, assist enterprises in factory construction, personnel recruitment, production research cooperation, and market development, and support Gaomeike's South China base to rapidly grow and strengthen. During the exchange with the Chengnan Industrial Revitalization Institute, both sides hope to strengthen cooperation in innovation for small and medium-sized enterprises, enhance understanding, and consider jointly organizing the China Korea Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition.
This economic and trade exchange activity has resulted in multiple achievements, including project implementation, talent exchange, and understanding of cutting-edge technologies. Zhongkai High tech Zone will continue to optimize the international business environment and accelerate the construction of an important innovation pole in the eastern part of the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area. In the future, Zhongkai High tech Zone will rely on platforms such as the China Korea (Huizhou) Industrial Park to further deepen cooperation with Japan and South Korea in key technology research and industrial chain coordination, injecting new impetus into the high-quality development of Huizhou.
